Engine fans not comming on. Overheating Ford Focus

I had problem with my cooling system. After I traced out, I found out that my cooling fan is not working properly. At first, I thought it didn't work at all. But after testing the relay, it is in fact, working. So I went to the Temp Sensor, thinking it has to be the problem. But the Auto Shop was unable to even locate the sensor, they really sucks. However, now I just notice it wasn't even the sensor's fault. The cooling fan will only turn on when the AC is on. And it will turn off as well. That indicates that the sensor gotta be working; if not the fan should either stay on or off the whole time/ it shouldn't cycle if it is not working. I am not really a electrical guy. Can any of you guys tell me where the problem is? I am suspecting the electrical wirings between the cooling system and the ac system are theultimate blame. Am I right? Answer: I have good news for you. The problem you describe, and in EXACTLY the way you've described it, sounds like your cooling fan blower resistor has burned out. This is NOT to be confused with your car's climate control blower resistor pertaining to the four speed settings. What is probably happening is you are not getting any LOW speed cooling fan operation, when commanded by the PCM. There are two cooling fans, as others have already posted. Each cooling fan has a two wire pigtail connector to it. Look BETWEEN the two cooling fans for a two wire connector exactly identical to the ones plugged into the cooling fan motors. This will be plugged into the resistor. To disconnect it, simply DEPRESS the metal clip, and pull to remove. Look for a burned out connector, as well as the resistor it plugs into. To repair this problem, you need to go to your local Ford dealer parts department to purchase the blower resistor and pigtail connector. Both of these parts are very inexpensive, even from the dealer. It is also EXTREMELY common on your car. Please keep me informed of your findings. Hope this helps. Found this answer on Yahoo answers and was Dead On !!! Melted plug and all. Ordered parts from ford and all is well.

Hyundai elantra 1.8L 5 speed just suddenly started running very poorly and now will not start

1996 Hyundai elantra 1.8L 5 speed just suddenly started running very poorly and now will not start. The power dropped off to almost nothing. It tries to start but just pops a little like it’s trying. I changed the fuel filter and it gets fuel while cranking. I checked each plug wire and they all have spark. The plugs are almost new. I also checked the timing marks and everything looks right. I have a cheap code reader and get the following codes; 136, 300, 301, 302, 304, and 441. Any ideas what’s causing the misfire and O2 codes? Answer: When was the last time the engine was tuned up? No, not just plugs, but a full tune up! The whole nine yards! READ Entire Article

Blown Head Gasket

How do I Replace a Head Gasket on My '94 Ford Ranger 2.3L ? You will want to disconect the battery, drain all the coolant and remove the oil pan drain plug. Removing the drain plug is to allow any coolant that gets into the engine to drain out quickly and keeps from causing any damage to the engine. Follow the steps listed below. I suggest using a paint marker to mark all wires and hoses. When done top off all fluids and double check all bolts and fittings. Reconnect the battery and start the engine. Re-check coolant level after engine has had a chance to warm. Full Step by Step Procedure

Chrysler's all new Peapod - neighborhood electric vehicle, or NEV

Chrysler Peapod
The car is built on a 102 inch wheelbase with an overall length of 143.6 inches. It is 56.5 inches wide and 70.5 inches tall. For contrast, that's just two inches shorter in overall length than a MINI Cooper with a longer wheelbase. Its turning circle is 32 feet curb-to-curb. Base vehicle weight is estimated to be 1,290 pounds, and with a rated payload capacity of 910 pounds the maximum gross vehicle weight is 2,200 pounds. The Peapod is built on an aluminum spaceframe that's supported by dual A-arm front suspension with coil-over shocks and rack-and-pinion steering.
Buyers will have a choice of either six flooded electrolyte 12-volt lead acid batteries or optional maintenance-free batteries. The Peapod's 72-volt electrical system will have an onboard charger that will top off the batteries in six to eight hours from a standard 110-volt outlet. No details have been released on the electric motor, but the platform will be front-wheel-drive and feature regenerative braking. A full charge will yield approximately 30 miles of range, depending on terrain.

Raser debuted a plug-in hybrid version Hummer H3 that gets 100+ mpg

Utah's Raser Technologies debuted a plug-in hybrid version Hummer H3 that gets 100+ mpg, nearly doubling the 51 mpg of the Toyota Prius in the city. And it goes from 0 to 60 in 8.5 seconds — faster than the smaller Hummer H2 with a V-8 gasoline engine and within the under-10-seconds goal of the next-gen Prius. As Raser calls it, this "Chevy Volt on steroids" comes with a 260-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder EcoTech engine that drives a powerful 100-kilowatt generator that recharges its 600 pounds of lithium-ion battery packs. Those batteries are the bugbear of hybrids because they're bulky and heavy. But when you've got a Hummer H3, you've got the room. With a range of 400 miles, this green Hummer will go 40 miles on electricity only, well within the typical seven-mile drive of most Americans.

2007 Wrangler Unlimited. I want to lift it 3-4 inches

I have a 2007 Wrangler Unlimited. I want to lift it 3-4 inches. Is there anything else I have to be aware of, i.e. sway bars, ect, going up that amount. And what are some good kits you would recommend?
Answer:
any good kit will have everything in it you need i would recommend either teraflex or rubicon express they both have very nice complete kits and have great tech support if you need it
The ’97+ TJ was a winner right out of the box. The TJ’s live axle, multi-link suspension design has served as an excellent platform for building a high performance off-road machine. With our knowledge of multi-links and long arm geometry, it was a given that our systems would be categorized as high end by industry standards.

1997 Dode Caravan - popping noise from engine on acceleration

I have a 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan and I took it to a mechanic and he said that there was low compression in the first cylinder what would cause this and how do i fix it there also appears to be no apparent leak as I have no loss of fluid? I have just recently picked up some K&W Permanent Metallic Block Seal Head Gasket Repair is this something that I should try ? Please help I am desperate as this is my only vehicle and I have four children. Sorry I feel like the biggest idiot i just talked with the mechanic about my car and i was not given all the info as my mother in law was the one that grabbed it for us and relayed the info he said that it was due to a bad valve and that i needed a valve job done on it which is expensive so because when the problem first presented it was making a popping noise so what he did was take off the plug to the first cylinder so it doesn't make the popping noise.
Answer:
The Block seal will not help the issue you have. A valve job or replacement of a valve in the #1 cylinder is eminent. Removing the plug wire from that cylinder will keep the engine from popping but it is important to make sure the Fuel Injector was also unplugged so it doesn't continue to inject fuel into that cylinder and cause the rings to wash out.

1998 Mitsubishi Diamante ES with Check Engine Light. Code is P1400

I have a 1998 Mitsubishi Diamante ES with Check Engine Light. Code is P1400, no other codes. Replaced Manifold Pressure Sensor, cleared codes and re-tested. Light came back on. Check vacuum hoses, connections etc. All look good. Car does not pass following self test for emissions: heated o2 sensor, evap test, purge valve test, catalyst test. all these test show incomplete. Other tests pass. What could it be. Other possible tests and what does the code P1400 mean specifically for this car? Will include bonus if you can lead me to answer. Not a dead beat or negative feedback customer.
Answer:
That code is for DPFE circuit low input. The reason why the other monitors have not run, is because they are being blocked until the other repairs are made. So we need to check the passages for EGR to be cleaned and that the system is electrically working. It may be a defective computer as well or need to be re-flashed.
