Now no brake and parking lights

Simple job turned into something major, I hope not. 97 corolla, r. rear brake light not working. Replaced the bulb, everything was working good, decided to replace all bulbs, Antie told me she doesn't remember when they were changed. placed all new bulbs, 1157 for brake lights, 1156 for backup lights. Now no brake and parking lights. Signal and hazard lights are working, I wanted to see if the backup lights worked, guess what, the shifter won't move, like it is stuck. Answer: OK in the process you have blown the brake lamp fuse and this also will affect the shift interlock device. so replace the fuse and see if it blows again or not. if not then great, your back on the road, if so then you have a short to ground somewhere in the circuit.

GM to profit from the Obama bankruptcy plan

General Motors will used the economy excuse to file for bankruptcy on there US business even though GM World Wide is quite profitable. Years ago GM spun off its worst and called it Delphi in an effort to shake Unions and cut costs. For the past 10 years GM has been shutting down plants and moving there companies out of the US to further shake out Unions. Now with The federal government using US Citizens tax money to further GM movement to shut down plants and move more jobs out of the country, GM wants to take it one step further. If GM does carry through with filing for bankruptcy, it may allow them to get out of paying any insurance and RETIRMENT benefits to its dedicated employees. Several months ago GM saw an opportunity to rid themselves of the Contracts they agreed upon and it looks like they just might get away with it. Best of all they can blame it on the Obama Administration for suggesting that is the only way out.

Alternator Repair and Testing

Alternator Repair
Basically this means that an alternator is what charges the car's battery and also provides power to operate the engines computer, lights, radio, etc. So, if the alternator quits functioning then all of these electrical devices will try to run off the car's battery. The problem with that is, once the battery starts to loose power ( since it is no longer being recharged ) the will start to function poorly and will eventually stop running altogether. Generally when the alternator starts to fail a Battery light will illuminate on the dash board. This means the battery is no longer being charged , this does not mean the battery has a problem. Heater Blower Motor doesn't work in my 2007 Chevy Silverado

GM TRUCK Inoperative blower motor.
The blower motor on some 2007 - 2008 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra extended cab and crew cab models built before 4/1/08 may fail to operate. If the fuse is good and the circuit up to the motor has power, says GM, the motor has probably failed. Water intrusion is the likely villain. Installing an upgraded blower motor with a new-design moisture shield (Part No. 25973845) should prevent further trouble.

I have a 1996 850 Volvo. What does the code 172 mean and what repairs are required?

Code P0172 is for system too rich. This can be a problem with on O2 sensor, fuel pressure, leaking injector, cylinder misfire. It will require a little more diagnosing before a specific repair can be determined. It may also be caused by a vacuum leak.
P0172: System Too Rich (Bank 1) - From a quick search, Tech has said this indicates a vacuum leak. Also, see this thread which sounds similar to your issue: http://www.volvoforums.com/m_57903/tm.htm.

2010 Chevy Camaro
Since Dictator Obama has taken over General Motors he has been bashing skulls and making changes. He has successfully fired the CEO and is making his own rules for the company. first the check engine light comes on occasionally and then goes off

1999 Jeep Cherokee
I got a new(ish) Jeep over the weekend, previous owner beat the snot out of it and now I'm fixing a lot of small problems, got the list down to a few now, first the check engine light comes on occasionally and then goes off for awhile, I tried the flipping of the key and that didn't show any codes or anything then found the trip odometer trick for the newer jeeps and it didn't give any either so then I took it to the parts store and used their scanner and found p0505 and p0743. I found the p0505 is idle air control? and p0743 has something to do with the torque converter? any help with the next step would be appreciated!!! its a 1999 Jeep Cherokee classic(not grand) 4.0 auto 4wd with 225k on it... it was towed behind a motor home so who knows how many miles are really on it Response: How does the Jeep seem to run other than the codes? For example, does the idle seem normal? Does it do anything unusual, especially when the light is coming on?
