DETROIT (Reuters) -- Ford Motor Co. is recalling nearly 281,000 F-150 pickup trucks in the United States because of a potential problem with the door handles not working properly, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported today.
Model years 2009 and 2010 F-150 trucks produced from January 2008 to November 2009 are being recalled because in the event of a crash, "the door handle spring can fail causing the door latch to open," NHTSA said in a filing.
As of Jan. 21, there had been no reported accidents or injuries related to this issue, Ford told NHTSA.
Ford said that customers will initially be asked to bring their F-150s to dealerships if any door handle is loose or fails to return to a stowed position.
Later, once replacement parts are available, owners will be asked to bring in their trucks for inspection at Ford or Lincoln dealerships, the filing said.
The F-150 is the primary model of the F-series of pickup trucks that have been for 34 straight years the best-selling vehicles in the U.S. market.

Heater Blower Motor doesn't work in my 2007 Chevy Silverado
GM TRUCK
Inoperative blower motor.
The blower motor on some 2007 - 2008 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra extended cab and crew cab models built before 4/1/08 may fail to operate. If the fuse is good and the circuit up to the motor has power, says GM, the motor has probably failed. Water intrusion is the likely villain. Installing an upgraded blower motor with a new-design moisture shield (Part No. 25973845) should prevent further trouble.

My Electric Power Seats are not working?
The power motor that operates the up down motion on the front of the passenger seat is not functioning on my 2000 Silverado. IS this common and what are my options?
Answer:
The seat motors can bind up if run all the way up or down. First check for a blown fuse. It is easy enough to turn the drive with pliers to free it up. If it doesn't turn it is bound. Remove the motor and try to turn it again. If it still doesn't turn then the seat base will need replaced. If it does turn plug the motor in and test it to see if it runs. If the motor does run it may be week from a bad armature or worn brushes. If the motor doesn't run check for power and ground at the motor connector. If it has power and ground the motor is no good. If it doesn't have power and ground The module is probably no good. Verify power and ground at the module before you condemn it.

My 78 ford F100 will not start.
QUESTION:
My 78 Ford F100 will not start. I have replaced coil, battery, and the electronic unit that plugs into the wiring harness for the distributor. ( I'm not sure what you call it.) My truck will turn over great but it will not fire off. What else can I check? It was running great until I turned it off at the gas station and it would not crank again. Please Help!!
ANSWER:
Looking at all you have replaced I would suspect you have overlooked the dist stator. Under your dist cap is where you will find it. It was common back on the older F 100 when you replaced the Ignition module you also replaced the stator. The stator provides the signal to make the module fire the coil.

Silverado 350 vortec won't start when its cold.
QUESTION:
1998 Silverado 350 Vortec won't start when its cold.i hear the fuel pump running, and tried numerous times to start it, finally gave it one shot of starting fluid and it fired right up. Once it runs for a while and gets warm it will start right up. What could this be? Already Tried: fuel pump 6 months old, injectors one year old, fuel filter is new.
ANSWER:
Couple of things it could be. 1) Needs new spark plugs (extremely common)
2) IAC (Idle Air Control) is sticking and will need to be replaced. If you press gas pedal about 1/4 way down and it starts , then the IAC needs to be replaced.
3) Throttle body is dirty and is restricting air flow
