Vibration at 45 mph

Customers Problem: I have a 2003 Chevy S-10 Extreme that vibrates bad at 45 mph or faster. It also makes a noise all the time, like a rubbing noise. Solution and Actual Repair: I started to test drive the vehicle and didn't make it out of the parking lot. The noise was so bad I was afraid i might get stuck on the road somewhere. So, i pulled the S-10 in the shop and raised it up in the air for further inspection. I rotated the rear wheels to listen for the noise and quickly could tell it was coming from the drive shaft. Turns out it had never been greased and broke the drive shaft knuckle. Ordered one from the dealer and installed it. No more noise and no more vibration. But the cost was $1100.00 just for the part !!! WOW.... If you own one , you had better grease the drive shaft!!!!!
