2000 vw beetle has a problem with the battery draining after about three days

2000 VW Beetle
My 2000 VW beetle has a problem with the battery draining after about three days of normal use. Both the battery and alternator check out OK. Also have a problem with driver-side electric windows won't go up or down. Any ideas would be great.
Answer:
More than likely the harness going from the back of the alternator to the battery is faulty. Run the car with the radio, seat heaters, headlights, emergency lights, and rear window defroster on for 20 minutes with the hood closed. Then you need to put a voltmeter with one one lead on the positive battery post and the other on the large wire at the back of the alternator. That measurement should be around .06 volt. If it is over .1 volt the harness is faulty. You can buy one new from the dealer.

passenger side window just froze and wont go back up or go down

Question:
I have a 2001 Chevy Silverado. Last night my passenger side window just froze and wont go back up or go down either. I was thinking its a fuse or something like that, but when I do press the button for the window to move, all it does is click on that side. Drivers side window is fine. Would you be able to help me out?
Answer:
Since the other window works , it is not a fuse as they are not separate. Most likely your regulator has failed you and will need to be replaced. The window motor and regulator are sold as an assembly to be replaced at the same time.

power windows

Question: I''m having a problem with my power windows. They stopped working and after pushing the buttons a number of times they started working again. A week or so later they stopped working and now I still can''t get them to work. I need to know if the problem could be in the power distribution box with the fuse. My power seat still works but didn''t know if they are tied in together. Or is it in the switch controls on my arm rest... Optional Information: 2000 Ford explorer v8 Already Tried: checked the fuses Answer: If all the windows are having an issue of not going up, then it is most likely the control module(drivers door switch unit) or the window motor breaker. If it is just happening with one window ( most likely the drivers window as you use it more often) the the window motor needs to be replaced.
