my car is over heating and i put in a new thermerstat
Question:
I have a 1992 Chevrolet Cavalier and my car is over heating and i put in a new thermostat and i changed the two radiator hoses but it still over heats and smoking. Already Tried: changed the thermostat replace both radiator hoses
Answer:
If the some is coming from the exhaust, then you have a blown head gasket.
If the smoke is coming from the engine, you have a leak... you will need to have a pressure test performed to find the leak. most likely the radiator or water pump as they are the most common.
If the no smoke, just gauge going too high, make sure the fan is coming on.
