the alarm keeps going off

Question: I have 95 993 that sat for while. Went out to start it - dead. Recharged battery, reinstalled, but the alarm keeps going off when I connect the battery terminals. How do I disable the alarm? Answer:

What you need to do : 1) Insert Ignition Key and turn it to the "ON" position (not start) 2) While leaving the Ignition key in the on position, connect the battery. 3) Move key to "start" and allow the engine to start.

With the key in the "on" position it allows it to synchronize with the engine computer when you connect the battery.
