THE HORN DOES NOT SEEM TO WORK

Question: I HAVE A 1998 RODEO AND THE HORN DOES NOT SEEM TO WORK AT ALL TIMES. I PUSHE THE CENTER OF THE STEERING WHEEL AND DONT ALWAYS GET A RESPONSE. WHY? Answer: A simply test will let you know if it is the horn or the horn button that is failing. Run direct power to the horn and make it sound repeatedly if it works perfect every time then your horn button needs to be replace as the contacts are worn passed usable condition. If the does not blow every time, replace the horn relay, it is bad. There is a slim chance that the coil spring in the steering wheel is bad, but not very likely.
