How do you know when your timing belt needs changed? My car a Peugeot 307 2.0xsi has started making a kind of whizzing noise and gets higher pitched when I press the accelerator. The guy I bought the car from told me it was replaced at 70k miles although he had no proof of it. The car has now done 116k miles.
I would not think its that. However it could have went bad. Usually 100,000 miles is when you change them
ReplyDeleteIts usually actually every 60,000 miles Kimberly. Or 100,000km.

sounds like the timing belt, you can;t be sure of word on previous owner either if no service history when you bought it..
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you've gotten that many miles out of it. You should probably ask your local mechanic to take a look at it to see if the belt needs to be replaced.
