2007 Dodge Caliber weird electrical problems
My wife has a 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT with a 2.0L engine and Automatic Transmission. Lately it has developed the following problem. The dashboard says "Key in Ignition" even when the key is out. The remote control for the door locks no longer works, and the radio has stopped working. The message "No Fuse" will come on sometimes when you first start the car. I've been told it might be the TIPM (Totally Integrated Power Module) but I am not sure and the dealer wants 90 dollars plus tax to "diagnose" it. Does anyone have any suggestions that might save me some money on this problem? I really don't want to have to pay a dealer to do this.

I know nothing about this personally but I found that it has been
ReplyDeletediscussed in various places on the net. Below is a goodle search I
made followed by

One place suggested resetting things by disconnecting the battery
cables and holding them together for 10 minutes. I would try that
first but the other links might help also. Anytime you can reset
electronics when they're going crazy, it pays to try that first, even
with appliances, televisions, etc. I've "fixed" a lot of things that
way. If you have to keep resetting the unit, then it's time to find
out why. (Nintendo Wii's have a known issue and you just have to do
that sometimes.)
These threads in particular looked like it might put you on the right

These were on the first page of my search, but there may be some real
gems if you keep clicking on the next page and reading some of the
helpful answers on the subject.
you need to get diagnostics done for these type of faults, its just gone that way now
