99 Chevy Tahoe Transmission Trouble

Is there a way to adjust the 4L60E transmission on a 1999 Chevy Tahoe?  It shifts too soon and has too much of a soft shift.  Too bad the newer trans' didn't have a vacuum modulator and shift control rod.

    Pretty sure it has to be done electronically in the computer. I am assuming the VSS is not causing the issue and you have already ruled it out.
