2003 Ford Focus will not start unless I hit the gas.

Hi i have a 03 focus..when i go to start it first thing i turn key and it will not start unless i hit the gas and keep it reved a little..after its warm it runs fine and starting it for the rest of the day does not require me to hit the gas ..any ideas?

    This Sounds like a Sticking IAC or bad ECT Sensor.

    It doesn't happen all the time but mostly when I accelerate. It coming from the left side when I am driving and it sounds like its coming from the tire area. this page

    sounds like a faulty sensor
