A few days ago someone decided to push the driver's side door lock into the door
where it can't be accessed with the key.
What will I need to do (besides
removing the interior trim) to fix this? I don't have the official shop manual
that shows a breakdown of all parts and assemblies on the truck.
I'm
assuming that the tumbler is inside the door. If it is, can I swap out the
junkyard replacement with the tumbler set from my truck?
After finding
out what's involved, I can then go ahead and look for a replacement or assembly
and proceed from there. I don't want to take it apart and leave it apart if I
can do it all in one operation, but if I need to open it up to see what's in
there, I will.
I've never done a lock swap before, so this is new
territory to me.
